The City is Honda's five-seat sedan, here in the updated form that Honda's May 2026 brochure calls the new Honda City: 4,594 mm long on a 2,600 mm wheelbase, with a 40-litre fuel tank and, on the petrol versions, a 506-litre boot. Its 1.5-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine, suitable for E20 fuel, makes 121 PS and 145 Nm and comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic with paddle shifters; Honda's certified fuel-efficiency figures are 17.77 km/l for the manual and 17.97 km/l for the CVT. The ZX+ e:HEV is a self-charging strong hybrid: a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine works with two electric motors and an e-CVT, for a combined 126 PS and 253 Nm and a certified 27.26 km/l. It also has rear disc brakes, an electric parking brake with automatic brake hold, and an 8-year or 1,60,000 km warranty on its lithium-ion battery.
Six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, ISOFIX mounts, a tyre-pressure (deflation) warning, a rear camera, rear parking sensors, Bi-LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, automatic headlamps, a smart key with push-button start, automatic climate control with rear vents and tilt and telescopic steering are standard. The SV has an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers and 15-inch steel wheels. The V adds Honda Sensing driver assistance, with collision-mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Honda Connect connected-car features and 15-inch alloy wheels. The ZX adds an electric sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, eight speakers (four plus four tweeters), the LaneWatch side camera, rain-sensing wipers, leather upholstery, a dealer-fitted wireless charger and 16-inch alloy wheels. The ZX+ adds a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats and a 7-inch colour driver display; on the e:HEV its adaptive cruise control also works at low speeds in traffic.
The prices are ex-showroom Delhi, as Honda's online price tool showed them on 21 October 2026. Neither Bharat NCAP nor Global NCAP has published a result for this City; Global NCAP's 2022 test was of the earlier fourth-generation City with two airbags.
