About CarSarthi

CarSarthi is a new-car research site for India. It lists cars with their variants, ex-showroom prices and specifications, and lets you compare up to four cars side by side, with the differences highlighted.

Who runs it

CarSarthi is built and run by Jaspal Singh, a developer based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is a one-person project.

What it doesn't do

CarSarthi doesn't sell cars, doesn't ask for your phone number and doesn't pass anyone's details to dealers. There are no lead forms on the site.

Where the data comes from

Specifications and ex-showroom prices are taken from car makers' own spec sheets, brochures and price lists. CarSarthi lists 87 cars on sale in India from 13 makers so far, not every car on sale. Each car's page names the documents its figures were taken from and the date each one was checked. Prices change often: confirm the final on-road price with a dealer before you buy.

How it's built

The site's code and much of its text are written with the help of AI tools (Anthropic's Claude). It runs on a server rented from OVHcloud in France, and visitors reach it through Cloudflare's network. See the privacy page for what is recorded when you visit.
