The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is Toyota's five-seat SUV, 4,365 mm long with a 2,600 mm wheelbase, sold with three powertrains. The neoDrive versions have a 1.5-litre petrol engine (103.06 PS) with an integrated starter generator and a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. The strong hybrids pair a 1,490 cc petrol engine with an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and Toyota's e-Drive transmission for a system output of 115.56 PS, and the E-CNG versions run on petrol or CNG with a 5-speed manual. Toyota quotes fuel economy of 27.97 km/l for the hybrid and 26.6 km/kg for the CNG.
Six airbags, stability control, hill hold, tyre-pressure monitoring, ISOFIX mounts, rear parking sensors, cruise control, automatic climate control with rear vents and disc brakes on all four wheels are standard. The S grades have bi-halogen projector headlamps, a 7-inch touchscreen and steel wheels; the G and G(O) add LED projector headlamps, a 9-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger and alloy wheels, and the G(O) a panoramic sunroof. The V adds a 360-degree camera, a head-up display and a powered driver's seat. Neither Bharat NCAP nor Global NCAP has rated the Hyryder.
