Tata Curvv EV

The Curvv EV is the electric version of Tata's Curvv, a five-seat coupé-styled SUV 4,310 mm long on a 2,560 mm wheelbase, with 186 mm of ground clearance and a 500-litre boot. It has a 55 kWh battery and a 123 kW (167 PS) motor with 215 Nm, for which Tata quotes an ARAI-certified range of 502 km, 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 160 km/h. A DC charger of 70 kW or more takes the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in about 40 minutes. The Accomplished X comes with a portable charging cable and the Empowered X with a 7.2 kW AC wall box, and the battery has a lifetime warranty for the first owner.

Every version has six airbags, ESC, hill hold, disc brakes on all four wheels, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, front and rear parking sensors, a rear camera, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitor, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start, connected-car features and alloy wheels. The Accomplished X has a 10.25-inch touchscreen and 17-inch wheels. The Empowered X has 18-inch wheels, LED projector headlamps, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a nine-speaker JBL system, a voice-assisted sunroof with mood lighting, ventilated front seats, a powered driver's seat, a powered tailgate with gesture control, an 11.6-litre front trunk, vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle charging and Level 2 driver assistance with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking; the Empowered X Dark is a Dark edition of it. Bharat NCAP rated the Curvv EV five stars for adult and child occupants in 2024.
