MG Windsor EV Pro

The Windsor EV Pro is the version of MG's Windsor EV with the larger battery, on the same 4,295 mm body and 2,700 mm wheelbase. It has a 52.9 kWh battery and the same 100 kW (136 PS), 200 Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor, and MG quotes an MIDC range of 449 km. On a DC charger of up to 60 kW the battery goes from 20 to 80 per cent in about 50 minutes, and a 7.4 kW AC fast charger takes it from 10 to 100 per cent in about 9.5 hours. The battery has a lifetime warranty for the first private owner. MG also sells the car under a battery-as-a-service scheme, in which the battery is rented by the kilometre; the prices here are for the car with its battery.

Both versions have 18-inch dual-tone machined alloy wheels, a dual-tone ivory interior with man-made leather seats, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch instrument display, a 6-way powered driver's seat, a nine-speaker Infinity audio system, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, ESP, rear parking sensors and MG's i-SMART connected-car features, with 579 litres of boot space. The Essence Pro adds a glass roof, ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, ambient lighting, a PM2.5 filter, MG's Level 2 driver assistance (12 functions, including adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist) and V2L and V2V power output of up to 3 kVA.
