Hyundai Verna

The Verna is Hyundai's five-seater sedan, 4,565 mm long on a 2,670 mm wheelbase, with a 45-litre fuel tank. It has two 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engines: an MPi (115 PS, 143.8 Nm) with a 6-speed manual or Hyundai's iVT continuously variable automatic, and a turbo GDi (160 PS, 253 Nm) with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The turbo is sold only on the HX 8 and HX 10.

Six airbags (seven on the HX 10), ESC, hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts and rear parking sensors are standard. The HX 4 adds an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, LED daytime running lamps and alloy wheels; the HX 6 a rear camera, front parking sensors, a smart key with push-button start, LED projector headlamps, a wireless charger and 16-inch alloys; and the HX 6+ leatherette seats, ventilated front seats and a Bose system. The HX 8 adds rain-sensing wipers, an electric driver's seat, a 10.25-inch touchscreen and Bluelink connected-car features, with Level 2 driver assistance and a dashcam on its turbo versions. The HX 10 adds a 360-degree camera, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, the seventh airbag and Level 2 driver assistance with adaptive cruise control. Global NCAP rated the Verna it tested in 2023 five stars for adult and child occupants.
