Tata Punch EV

The Punch EV is the electric version of Tata's Punch, a five-seat SUV 3,880 mm long with 195 mm of ground clearance and a 366-litre boot (VDA method). It is sold with a 30 kWh battery and a 65 kW (88 PS) motor or a 40 kWh battery of LFP cells and a 95 kW (129 PS) motor, both with 154 Nm; Tata gives 0-100 km/h in 13.5 and 9 seconds. It quotes an ARAI-certified range of 468 km for the 40 kWh battery and 365 to 375 km for the 30 kWh. A 3.3 kW AC charger comes with the car, and on a DC charger of 65 kW or more both batteries charge from 10 to 80 per cent in about 30 minutes.

Every version has six airbags, ESP, hill hold, a tyre pressure monitor, ISOFIX mounts, rear parking sensors, automatic climate control and connected-car features. The Smart+ adds an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers and a remote key, and with the 40 kWh battery a rear camera and an electronic parking brake. The Adventure adds keyless entry with push-button start and cruise control; the Empowered a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless phone mirroring, a 10.25-inch digital cluster with navigation, a 360-degree camera, 16-inch alloy wheels and automatic headlamps and wipers; and the Empowered+ S LED headlamps, an electric sunroof, fog lamps, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger and roof rails. Bharat NCAP rated this Punch EV five stars for adult and child occupants in 2026.
