Nissan Tekton

The Tekton is Nissan's C-segment SUV, launched in India on 9 July 2026 and built at Chennai. Both engines are turbocharged petrols: the 1.0-litre T160 (100 PS, 166 Nm) comes with a 6-speed manual, and the 1.3-litre T280 (163 PS, 280 Nm) with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed wet-clutch dual-clutch automatic (DCT) with an E-shifter. Nissan quotes ARAI-certified fuel economy of 19.4 km/l for the T160, 17.8 km/l for the T280 manual and 18.5 km/l for the T280 DCT, with a 50-litre fuel tank, 212 mm of ground clearance and up to 700 litres of boot space.

Six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control and ISOFIX mounts are standard on every version. Bharat NCAP gives the Tekton five stars for adult and child protection (30.49 of 32 and 45.00 of 49), based on a crash test of the Renault Duster, which it calls the Tekton's corporate twin. The Visia has 17-inch steel wheels and a 7-inch driver display; the Visia+ adds a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a rear camera; and the Acenta a 10.1-inch Tek-Link HD screen. The N-Connecta adds a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital driver display and dual-zone automatic air conditioning; the Tekna ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat and driver-assistance (ADAS) features; and the Tekna+ Google built-in, a 3D around-view monitor and a powered tailgate. The T160 comes only with the manual, the T280 manual starts at the N-Connecta and the T280 DCT at the Acenta.
