MG Astor

The Astor is MG's compact SUV, 4,323 mm long on a 2,585 mm wheelbase. It has one engine, the 1.5-litre VTi-TECH petrol (1,498 cc, 110 PS and 144 Nm), with a 5-speed manual on the Sprint, Shine, Select and Sharp Pro and an 8-speed CVT on the Select, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro. The fuel tank holds 48 litres.

The Sprint and Shine have two airbags; the Select, Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro have six. Every version has ABS with EBD, ESP, hill hold and hill descent control, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX mounts, rear parking sensors and a 10.1-inch touchscreen. The Shine adds a panoramic sunroof, push-button start with smart entry, cruise control, a reverse camera, front fog lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Select adds tyre-pressure monitoring, automatic headlamps, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and MG's i-SMART connected-car features. The Sharp Pro adds a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a 6-way powered driver's seat and rain-sensing wipers, and the Savvy Pro MG's Level 2 driver assistance, with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking and blind spot detection. The Savvy Pro has a Sangria Red interior, with Iconic Ivory as an option.
