Kia Sonet

The Sonet is Kia's five-seat compact SUV, 3,995 mm long with a 2,500 mm wheelbase and a 385-litre boot (VDA method). It is offered with a 1.2-litre petrol (82.94 PS) and a 5-speed manual, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (119.65 PS) with a 6-speed iMT, a manual gearbox without a clutch pedal, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a 1.5-litre diesel (115.57 PS) with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic; all have two-wheel drive.

Six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, tyre-pressure monitoring, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX mounts are standard, but the HTE and HTE(O) have no touchscreen or speakers. The HTE(O) adds an electric sunroof and LED daytime running lights; the HTK(O) an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear camera, automatic climate control, roof rails and 16-inch wheels; the HTK+ push-button start, a wireless charger and alloy wheels; the HTK+(O) LED headlamps and fog lamps; and the HTX cruise control and rear disc brakes, with ventilated front seats on its automatics. The GTX+ and X-Line, automatic only, add a 10.25-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster, a seven-speaker Bose system, connected-car features, a 360-degree camera, a powered driver's seat and Level 1 driver assistance with autonomous emergency braking.
