Kia Carens Clavis

The Carens Clavis is Kia's three-row MPV, 4,550 mm long with a 2,780 mm wheelbase. It is a seven-seater, and the HTX+ with the dual-clutch gearbox is also sold as a six-seater with two second-row captain seats. There are three 1.5-litre engines, all with two-wheel drive: a petrol (114.75 PS) with a 6-speed manual; a turbo-petrol (159.76 PS) with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, a manual gearbox without a clutch pedal, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic; and a diesel (115.57 PS) with a 6-speed manual.

Six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, tyre-pressure monitoring, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX mounts and disc brakes on all four wheels are standard, but the base HTE has no touchscreen or speakers. The HTE(O) adds an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear camera and automatic headlamps; the HTE(EX) automatic climate control, LED daytime running lights and an electric sunroof; the HTK+ front parking sensors, cruise control, push-button start and roof rails; and the HTK+(O) LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, a wireless charger and, with the turbo-petrol, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. Below the HTK+(O), the non-turbo petrol versions have 15-inch alloy wheels and the others 16-inch steel wheels. From the HTX there are 12.25-inch touchscreen and instrument displays, connected-car features and a 360-degree camera. The HTX(O), HTX+, GTX+ and X-Line have an eight-speaker Bose system, and the HTX+, GTX+ and X-Line add ventilated front seats, a powered driver's seat, rain-sensing wipers and, with the dual-clutch gearbox, Level 2 driver assistance with adaptive cruise control. The GTX, GTX+ and X-Line have LED fog lamps; the GTX and GTX+ have black seats with off-white accents and the X-Line black seats with green accents.
