The Rumion is Toyota's seven-seat MPV, 4,460 mm long on a 2,740 mm wheelbase. Its 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine makes 103.06 PS and 139 Nm with Toyota's Neodrive system (idle start-stop, brake energy regeneration and torque assist) and comes with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters; a petrol-CNG version of the same engine (87.83 PS on CNG) comes with a 5-speed manual. Toyota's certified fuel economy is 20.51 km/l for the manual, 20.11 km/l for the automatic and 26.11 km/kg for the CNG. The grades are E (manual only), S (manual, automatic and CNG), and G and V (manual and automatic).
Six airbags (dual front, front side and curtain), ESP stability control, hill hold, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ISOFIX anchorages on the second row and rear parking sensors are standard on every grade. The S adds second-row AC vents, remote keyless entry and an audio system with touch buttons, Bluetooth and four speakers. The G adds a 17.78 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic air conditioning, push-button start with a smart key, a reversing camera, front fog lamps, two-tone alloy wheels and Toyota i-Connect. The V adds cruise control, tyre-pressure monitoring, automatic headlamps and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Neither Bharat NCAP nor Global NCAP lists a result for the Rumion.
