Tata Aeris

The Aeris is Tata's compact sedan, 3,995 mm long on a 2,450 mm wheelbase, with 170 mm of ground clearance and a 419-litre boot in the petrol versions. Its one engine is the 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol, which makes 86 PS with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The iCNG version makes 75.5 PS on CNG, starts directly on CNG, stores 70 litres of gas (water capacity) in two cylinders under the boot floor and keeps both gearboxes; the base Smart is sold with the manual only. There are five trims: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished. Tata's pages for the Tigor now redirect to the Aeris page, and the Aeris has the Tigor's engine, gearboxes and dimensions.

Six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts and rear parking sensors are standard. The Pure adds power windows, central locking with a flip key, two speakers and steering audio controls. The Pure+ adds an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers, a rear camera, ESC with traction control, hill hold, a tyre pressure monitor, rear AC vents and, except on the CNG AMT, cruise control. The Creative adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, LED headlamps and daytime running lamps, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps and wipers, and keyless entry with push-button start. The Accomplished adds ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, connected-car features, a dashcam, fog lamps and a dual-tone roof. The petrol Creative and Accomplished have 15-inch alloy wheels.
