Renault Kwid

The Kwid is Renault's five-seat hatchback, 3,731 mm long on a 2,422 mm wheelbase, with 184 mm of ground clearance and a 279-litre boot that Renault says expands to 620 litres. It has one engine, a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol making 69 PS and 92.5 Nm, with a 5-speed manual or an easy-R AMT on both trims. Renault dealers can also fit a government-approved CNG kit to manual versions in some states.

ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, front seat belts with load limiters and remote keyless entry are standard. The Evolution has front airbags for the driver and passenger, rear parking sensors, an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two front speakers and an LED digital instrument cluster. The Climber adds side and curtain airbags, six in all, and swaps the parking sensors for a rear camera; it also has electrically adjustable mirrors, rear power windows, steering-mounted audio controls, a fast USB charger, roof rails and door cladding. Hill-start assist is fitted only to the AMT versions.
