The Bayon is an SUV that Hyundai Motor India will launch on 26 October 2026. Hyundai opened bookings on 23 September 2026, online and at its dealers, for ₹11,000, and says deliveries will start during the festive season. Hyundai's launch announcement of 12 October gives no prices, versions, dimensions or fuel-efficiency figure, and its Bayon page notes that type approval has been applied for.

Hyundai gives one engine for India: a four-cylinder 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine of 84.4 kW (115 PS) and 144 Nm, with a 6-speed manual gearbox or Hyundai's IVT automatic. It is built on what Hyundai calls the Global K Enhanced Platform, which Hyundai says is engineered for five-star Indian safety standards; no crash-test rating has been published.

Hyundai lists two 12.3-inch curved displays side by side, a generative-AI voice assistant (with Perplexity and SoundHound AI), a navigation and infotainment system it says is accelerated by NVIDIA, over-the-air updates for up to 19 controllers, more than 70 Bluelink connected-car features, menus in 10 Indian and 2 international languages, and more than 500 voice commands that work without an internet connection in English, Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Bengali and Telugu. Hyundai has not said which versions get which features.

The name comes from Bayonne, a city in the French Basque region, according to Hyundai.
